WMG (Learning Mentors) – August 2022
WMG approached Adam with a potential brief, we would like a ‘hybrid’ type of support, to cover both areas of the curriculum, and the social and emotional needs of our learners following the pandemic. Together we came up with the name learning mentor. Adam suggested, Mark, Jayne and Rachel, between them they have been fantastic, forging relationships with our learners really quickly, being able to support them with subject specific learning, as well as wider organisational skills from homework, to coursework and exam preparation. For some learners’ they have also needed the emotional and social support, which again they have been fantastic in offering. For other learners it has just been the curriculum support that is needed and vice versa.
I cannot recommend the learning mentor model more highly, our thanks goes out to Adam and his wider team at U-educate for meeting and exceeding our brief. We look forward to continuing to work with you next academic year.
